Spellbook

AI contract review & drafting

Legal Application

What it's used for

Spellbook is an AI contract assistant that works directly inside Microsoft Word. It brings AI to the document where legal work actually happens, providing real-time suggestions as lawyers work.

  • Real-time suggestions — AI suggests missing clauses, stronger language, and improvements as you review a contract
  • Risk flagging — Automatically highlights unusual, aggressive, or risky provisions with explanations
  • Clause generation — Describe what you need in natural language and Spellbook drafts the clause in context
  • Negotiation playbook — Review contracts against your firm's preferred positions and negotiation standards
  • Cross-reference — Check internal definitions, cross-references, and defined term consistency

Corporate lawyers use Spellbook during contract negotiation to quickly assess incoming redlines. Solo practitioners use it as a virtual second set of eyes. In-house counsel use it to ensure vendor contracts meet company standards.

Spellbook's key advantage is that it lives in Microsoft Word, where lawyers already work. Learn more at spellbook.legal.
